                                                                                          Board of Directors Statement

We the Board of Directors of the Bunker Hill Public Library are establishing a plan of direction for the Library to follow for the next three (3) years. It will be our plans but not limited to just them.

We believe that a Library is not just a building to store books on to lend. We believe it serves as a lighthouse to a well-informed community. We believe it should serve as a lifelong educational institution for adults and children alike. It should be a safe and comfortable haven for adults and children.

We believe it should give access to the latest technology, newest books as well as aged classics, and books and manuals for training the un-employed as well as the under employed. It should keep safe and provide historical facts and up-to-date community information as well as subscribe to, and provide daily area news and local news when published. It should have access to the latest local school, township, county and city government actions as well as their needs so as to make the action a matter of community knowledge that will serve as an open door that will encourage well-informed citizens to take an active part in their government.
