Library Board Meeting June 13, 2006

 The meeting started at 7:07 p.m. Those present were Marvin Rensing, Evert Lehman, Bob Johnessee, Sally Bruckert, Pat Canaday, Susan Landreth, and Marian Whitfield.  Bob Landreth called (excused absence).  Ollie Schwallenstecker second absence.  There was a quorum present. 

 Bob J. made the motion to accept the secretary’s report, seconded by Evert , all aye.

 Bob J.  made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report, seconded by Sally, all aye.

 Sally made the motion to accept the prevailing wage, seconded by Pat, all aye.

 Evert made the motion, to set the overseas fax fee at $5.00, seconded by Sally, all aye.

 Sally made the motion to set a probation period of 3 months, limiting new patrons to 2 items per card, seconded by Marvin, all aye.

 The book sale earned $250.00.

 Susan Landreth, Bob Johnesssee and Marvin Rensing will be attending the trustee meeting at Benld on per capita.

 Fifteen children are enrolled in the summer reading program.

 The Scholastic Book Fair will take place July 1-8.

 Susan Landreth will form a committee and supervise the decorating of a truck for the July 4, parade.  Bruckert Chevrolet will provide the truck.

 Sally and Pat volunteered to water the plantings at the library during Marvin’s absence, June 23 thru July 3.

 The Schmid house, behind the library may go on the market.  Bob Johnessee expressed an interest for the library to the owner. 

 Bob made motion, to adjourn, seconded by Marvin, all aye.  Meeting adjourned at 7:40.
